Default SH IV saved game location

Is it possible to change the drive SH IV saves games to? The files are fairly big and I want to try and save it to a different partition other than the c drive

As far as I know they need to be in My Documents although with Multi-SH4 you can make a different 3 character sub-folder like "SHM" for SH4 for example. It is too bad that you can't select where the saved games go if you want them on a different drive or partition....

Thanks Art.

I wonder if I can cheat it by renaming the drives?

The MultiSH4 creator "TheRealPotoroo" said SH4 was hard coded to look in My Documents\SH4 which is how he got around it in the three character dll edit. You want to move "My Documents" to a different partition/drive?

My 'old buddy' Chris Pirillo has this in his archives:

http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2...nd-hard-drive/

that points to this:
http://www.askdavetaylor.com/moving_...hard_disk.html

and I used this:

Actually it isn't that hard to do..... It worked for me with XP Pro SP3. SH4 didn't skip a beat. My Documents is on my "D" drive now.

Happy Hunting!
