Default Konigsberg

How do I get out from this apparent inland lake? Saw what looked like a narrow passage west of Pillau, but can't get through even on the surface without heavy damage and fatalities..

There is a mod fix from BigBoyWooly that allows you to leave without taking damage,I'm afraid I don't have a link as got to go to work,hopefully someone will post the link for you
