sh3 cmdr ctd

Currently about to start my 6th patrol. Am in port and have had no problems so far or ctd's.
I decided to try out the "start at sea" option in sh3 cmdr and then got a ctd when the game was about 3/4 of the way loading up.
I then turned the option off again but it ctd again at the same spot.
Then went back a save game to at base after mission 5 and tried to load that but got the same ctd.
Really pissed off, the only thing I have messed with is this start at sea option and it seems to have stuffed everything up.
Grateful for any help at all....................

Also, can anyone tell me how to take a snapshot of my mod enabler and post it?????

Did you pwrform a 'rollback' with SH3 Commander ?

Do that and try commencing a new career.

ta... i was hoping starting a new career would be the last resort as I have had this game for many years now and never got past 1941 due to restarts. due to always upgrading my game etc with new and better mods. some of them yours jim....
is there any way anyone knows without starting new career?

You could always set Commander to a career beginning 1942 :p

Try removing your old careers from SH3 folder in My Documents. I had similar CTDs at start of my 2nd or 3rd patrol of my new career, and removing the old careers solved it.

You don't have to delete them, just move them to some other folder.

Dont use the start at sea option in SH3 CMDR, it'll stuff your career up..............

Also, if you use the latest version of SH3 Cmdr, you definitely want the patch, too: http://hosted.filefront.com/Wolfehunter/2238729

There were some bugs causing CTD under various circumstances. After patching, no worries.

Works fine for me.

But then, if I was the only person complaining of a problem with software that many, many people use, I'd tend to think that perhaps it might be me or something that I've done that's most likely causing the problem, rather than embarrassing myself by ranting about the software...
