I've searched the intere forum, but I could not find what I was looking for. Can anyone tell me how renown is being divided. (eg how much for a large merchant or a modern tanker...) I know reaching grids and returning to port aren't rewarded. Playing GWX 2.1

Each target has its own renown value. Big capital ships and valuable targets have higher values than small merchants and torpedo boats. The renown you actually get is affected by the realism level you're playing. Therefore if you sink a battleship of 1000 renown points but you're playing at 50% realism you will get 500 points.
I hope this is making it more clear now but if you still have problems give us a shout ![]() ![]()

Here is a renown chart, but it seems that it's for an older version of GWX, and the values are wrong for some ships. Hopefully someone has a similar chart for GWX 2.1.
Also, the renown values for each ship can be found in sh3\data\sea folder, in .cfg files. But getting data from these files can be a tedious task. The realism settings also affect the renown value. Here is a formula to calculate renown value regarding to realism: Code:
renown value = base ship renown value * ( (0.75 * realism %) + 0.25 )
