Default Yep, the old XXI battery recharge question again.

This may have been dealt with before, but please bear with me because I'm new to the Type XXI

I'm in patrol 20A of WaW3, testing out the type XXI, and have found the battery recharge rate is extremely slow. I've gone from about 45 to 48 on the meter in roughly 24 hours.

Looking at this thread...

http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=47637

...I see that VonHelsching released a fix some time ago. Is it still the one to have ?

I'm using SH3 Commander and NYGM 3.1.

Thanks as usual for any help.

I just glanced at the link you posted. It said that there is a "false realism" from the stock. I think you just forgot to download it and installed it. If the error is fixed with nygm then i don't see any other solution to help you.
And it depends on the type of batteries you are using........
The way you recharge it............ (cruising slow on te surface, fast, submerged mode with snorkel........)
Hope that will help..........

Not sure what you mean Richard. With NYGM 3.1, the battery charges up to about 48 and sticks there. It also takes an age to accomplish. Not NYGMs fault, I know...its a bug with the stock game. What I need to know is; since that thread was posted, has there been any more done to rectify the problem ?

Does battery recharge time alter with the speed you are traveling and whether its on the surface or snorkeling ? I was under the impression that the charging rate was constant no matter what.

GWX fixed this, and no the recharge rate is not constant. Typically it takes about twice as long to go from 90% to 100% as it does to go from 60% to 70%. In certain situations I'll only recharge long enough to get to 90%, but you never know when you'll need the extra juice.

Yep, thats prettty much what I'm finding too, Difool. I'll probably settle for 90% like you. Thanks for that.
