I just found out the mod (hardcoded fixes) H.sie has prepared and installed it right away ! Great mod by the way. I started a new career as suggested. My problem is the wind speed is currently fixed to 15 m/s for 3 day.
I am in Celtic Sea for the moment, sunk a Tramp Streamer and a Medium Cargo despite the wind speed that made impossible to determine exact distance to the targets, I used help from my Watch Officer. The Sinking of Medium Cargo was the most satisfactory, it was around 7 km, I send 2 fishes. 1 hit, and it started to list, half an hour later, she was going down ! ![]()

I think that the 1.6 patch by H.sie sets some maximum amount for stormy seas (actually the default value is around 3 days, if I remember right). On the other hand, loading a save resets the weather change timer (usually between 20 and 40 hours) randomly from 5 to 90%, so you could really effectively prolong the current weather if you reload a lot.
This all may be completely wrong, it is a long time since I last probed these files, but I am quite sure that what I said is more or less true. You may be just unlucky, hang in there mate! |
