Default need help to download Fall of the Rising Sun

Hello,

I'm currently stuck attempting to decipher the download instructions of Fall of the Rising Sun. If there is anyone who is willing, please explain in steps how to download it normally.

The only thing I know of how to download it is that you can't put it into the Program Files. The download instructions are too compacted together for my stupidity, so I'm getting easily stuck and confused on some instructions.

Thank you everybody

Also, I'm getting stuck trying to figure out how to get the game to work outside of the program files (I'm copy and pasting it to a game folder after downloading) and keep getting stuck on a load error.

Hopefully, this will resonate with you:

1. Install SH4 (the uboat version 1.5) into a folder that is NOT the root (c:\) or the default windows folder(s) (c:\program filesx86). Try something like c:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4.
2. Download Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate (FOTRSU).
3. Copy JSGME (jonessoft) into the same folder as SH4.exe. Launch it. It will create some things that you need, namely a MODS folder in the SH4 folder.
4. Unzip FOTRSU into the new MODS folder.
5. Read the documentation in the various FOTRSU Support folders.
6. Select which FOTRSU mods you wish to play with and then launch JSGME and apply them in the proper order (read the documentation).
7. Go have fun and sink some ships.

Beside what KaleunMarco says, specifically look in the unzipped mod folder, under the Support folder, and find "Install Notes For SH4.pdf", which is a detailed SH4 installation routine, using the disk version, but can also be modified for either the Steam or Ubisoft download versions also. If you have the Steam version of the game, things can be quite complicated, depending upon how many other Steam games you have. Consult Moving a Steam Installation and Games if you have the Steam version. Your methodology with Steam depends upon your computer configuration.

sounds like a plan.
BTW, you will not need Uplay or Uconnect to play SH4.
when you have completed the installation, just launch SH4.exe.
