Update: Since no one has been able to provide any details on the rest, I will attempt to find them for those few others that desire the same options. I have taken each problem more in depth and hopefully someone will have some answers to these more pointed questions. If not, I will hopefully update them with answers when I find them. Thanks for any help guys!

After searching around a bit, I havn't found exactly what I am looking for. Thus I have decided to ask you all for a bit of help. I desire the following:
Clean and wethered skins for VII and XI subs. I have not found quite exactly what I am looking for. Can anyone suggest a great skin that comes in both new and wethered variety? I would like to switch out the skins after a while in the boat so that it seems to wear while keeping the same basic theme.
Higher res insignia for crew uniforms. Those current clunky things are hurting my eyes! The worst offenders are the stripes on their arms.
- How are the textures mapped for the insignia on the crew's uniforms? I would like to see about creating higher res versions of these graphics myself, but first I need to know how the game gets the texture data onto the model.
English rank titles and flotilla names. I prefer them in English since I can't read a lick of german.
- Where exactly are the different lines in en_menu.txt relating to rank use at? I note that some are repeated, and the rank seems to drop when going down in the list. Also, the commented lines are translated in SH3Commander's files in older versions that changed this option for us, while the last one is commented out entirely. Are these comments acutally used by the game for some reason? (If so, what a stupid idea devs!)

I believe that this thread sheds some light on rank 174. Had a hell of a time finding it. I have not found a good reference for rank 169 though.
English navigational map refs. I run GWX 2.1 and OLCE2, and only the zoomed out ones are in english.
- Why would only the zoomed out map references be in english? Are not all of these contained in the same RAW file? No other mod I have modifies this file used in GWX's english nav map mod. [Resolved] The file data\Terrain\Maps\Map1\4320_2160.raw handles extemely zoomed out views, while the file data\Terrain\Maps\Map2\21600_10800.raw handles the zommed in views. GWX's nav map references mod does not replace this second zoomed in file.
- What controls whether the game prints the grid area names (AN, AM, BE, etc) with dynamic text (ie, font)? I did not locate this option, but it has become enabled through my playing around. Reversing all file edits does not seem to fix it either. [Resolved] I did not find the answer, but a fresh install fixes all.
- Can anyone translate the German names on the zoomed in map into English? I don't believe this will be very hard to do and I can probably handle it, so long as modern maps have the same names that were used in the 1940's.
- Can anyone edit the 21600_10800.raw file to have english names? The trouble here is keeping the background of the text as it currently is since the shading depicts the depth of water on the map view.
