Default CNN made a great site for the election results

I like their map:

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/

I am heavily disappointed so far in that the 'other' parties are not getting much of the vote yet. The Constitution party to be exact. In my opinion, I think both the repubs and the demos need a swift kick in the rear by losing massive ground to these newer parties. So far, I am not seeing this.

Interesting map, but Obama's already won Ohio and Florida. He's up by too much. McCain cannot catch up. Missouri is swinging in favor of McCain, but only about half the votes are in.

An election, forums abuzz...

Busy night.

Hardly. Go back and look again. Vote count is nearly 50/50.

And by the way, we won't know what happened in Florida for at least a month!

I want the Constitution party to make some major gains here though. Not happening.

PS. Look closely at the map - they are calling a state to a president elect with only 4% of the precincts reporting. You won't know anything for many moons.

be careful what you wish for mate - people wished for that in the ACT election here, we ended up with the green party holding the balance of power - they're eco-nuts!

As for the site, look at michigan, 49% each, nice and tight. Then some of the huge gaps, upwards of 30%! Stunning figures really

Hello? What part of 4% of the vote counted are you missing? You know nothing yet.

Mouse over a state. ME for example shows a strong Obama lead, yet only has 7% counted.

Another example, Georgia shows a slim McCain lead, but once again, only 52% counted. This is still a toss up.

Kind of fun to watch though.

He's maintained a strong lead in Maine for months. He's won it. I'll bet a hundred dollars he's won it.

Indeed. I still speculate that he shall win in the end.

Maybe not such a good site. NM shows a majority for McCain at 62%, yet its marked Obama.

Need to go find a new site I think. This one is skewing the results!

It tends to get scrambled at times, but updates eventually.
