Default Report radio contacts????

What on earth is that?
I order my radio operator to Report radio contacts and he answers -" Nearest radio contact 562 km 322 degrees. Or something like that.
Ive not noticed this little order until now and I have been playing for a while.
Anybody who nom what I am talking about and what is he reporting?

You caught him listening to the BBC and he has the latest Football scores for you ... Lester beat Manchester United 6-2 ... sorry to relate the bad news.

You can indeed have your Radio Operator report nearby radio contacts. This can be useful for finding ships and convoys by use of radio direction finding.

It's especially useful for getting an approximate indication of what course to steer when your current hunting grounds have come up empty.

So now you know there's more ways to hunt than just lookouts, hydrophone, radar, and sonar.

Be careful to evaluate what your radioman is reporting before you go dashing off. He'll report any received transmissions, including those from land-based stations, aircraft, and warships...enemy, neutral, or friendly alike.

Can anyone tell me where I can find this order? Does it come in later years (still in '39)?

You're welcome, joho!

I hope this helps you get one step closer to earning that Ritterkreuz!

I'm always glad to help in any way I can.

@ B.N.R.T.-

Just click on your Radio Operator's icon and choose the order from the mini-menu. It's part of the standard commands you have through the entire war. I think the icon for the order looks like a notepad.

Sorry I can't be more specific. My memory is on vacation.

I haven't been able to play SH3 for the past week because I've been busy backing up my hard drive. I'm nearly ready to do a major upgrade of my hardware, do a fresh install of WinXP SP3 with the custom CD I made, and reinstall all my software and games.

I'm having major SH3 withdrawal!!

Tis best to attempt to head for the nearest contact because (especially in GWX) convoy courses can change.
