Default Radar

I think it is graphical error but I am not sure. In some missions when I go to the Radar screen I see the radar on but on the boat when on the bridge I see no radar turning. Is this a graphical error or what. Thanks in advance.

Do you actually have radar installed ?

Unfotunatly the radar screen shows up wether or not if it is connected to anything

It will only turn on when the equipment is installed.

When you go to the radar station, the radar sweep turns itself off, it's kinda annoying. You can turn it on while at the station and watch it work and it stays on when you leave.

Exactly. There are actually a couple of radar covers in the game that should be placed over the PPI and A Scope displays, unfortunately they aren't implemented.

But maybe in the future....

I think I found the radar thing out. I have it installed but the type of radar I have looks like it only works in the direction of the the front of the sub +- 10 degrees of bow. So if you wanted to use that radar you would have to swing the whole boat to do a full 360. I could be wrong in this.

The radar works in one of two ways. Either an Omnidirectional Air radar, that does not have a physical display in the game but scans in all directions. Or a sweeping surface radar which does have a readout (PPI for bearing and an A-scope for ranging) If the radar isn't sweeping even though its on a set to sweep there could be a problem. What, if any, mods do you have installed?
