Default DanFrasers' Game Mover

---------------------------

DanFrasers' Game Mover

---------------------------

Version 1.0

---------------------------

System Requirements :

Microsoft Windows XP or Vista with .Net Framework 2.0 (comes with Vista by default)

----

Installation Instructions :

Extract the GameMover1.0.exe file to a folder of your choice.

An installer will be developed for future releases

----

Usage :

This application allows you to have a game or other application in full screen view but with easier Alt-tabbing to other windows. The game looks full screen, might as well be full screen, but it's not. You can now alt-tab from your game to another window as simply as two normal windows. Many games send your computer into a fit when you try to attempt this, some even crash! All that is required is that you can put the game in to a windowed mode at the screen resolution of your desktop. Once that is set, either run Game Mover or switch to it. You can add a program either by bringing up a list of currently running programs or go to the actual application itself. Once it is added, check the tickbox next to it and the program will do the work. You can even shift the 'fullscreen' window between monitors if you have a multi-monitor setup.

You can email me at danielfras@gmail.com with suggestions, bug reports etc.

How is this different than just hitting the "windows" button on my keyboard?

First of all, sorry for not responding...

Second of all, sorry for the HUGE pictures!

This is the best example I can offer, two eve-online installations, both windowed (two in fullscreen will never happen). You can't position them perfectly to look fullscreen.

This is just opening and positioning them a little:

Tick the boxes and this happens:

Perfect placement!

That is the best way of showing you. It also works on just one monitor to have a pseudo fullscreen as well. It works with any program you can think of, fullscreened notepad as well.

I'm currently re-writing the code for this as some stages of the movement were a little too resource hungry.

I've also read how to change the size of a DirectX display. I can already modify games (including SH3) to be contained in a larger window than what they've been set at, but the DirectX portion still stays the same size. Hopefully not for much longer! This means this program can control anything to do with size and placement of a window. Any resolution SH3 in windowed without hacking, anyone?
