Trying to give mission grids to XXI

I've got a fully functional XXI mod that lets it be used from 1939 but I've been unable to get GWX to issue mission grids, despite having it in every flotilla and having adjusted every SH3 and SH3 Cmdr file that I can find (albeit without touching anything except .cfg files).

I know there are a number of people using their own XXI mods out there - can one of you point me in the right direction as the only way I can currently issue a mission grid is through SH3 Cmdr before every mission and I'd like it to be done automatically.
