Hi!
A long long time ago (2years?), there was a tiny mod that, for the navmap tools, added a compass (bearing rose) (like the one of the ruler after pressing " ? "), at the end of the vector of the cycle drawing tool. This was very useful to plot the course of the target. Does anyone remember something? Or does anyone know how to do this?

Pretty sure all the super mods (GWX, NYGM etc) have that. I've not played Stock or non super mod SH3 for almost forever, so I'm not sure of any standalone tool mods I'm afraid.

You probably have not seen the option because you have to click in the tool helper icon (The one with the question mark) and then in the ruler in order to have the compass appear. NYGM has an optional mod (that can be enabled with JSGME) which has it appearing always, even if the tool helper is not selected.

Calm down please. Nobody is blamming you of anything.
I this what you are after? http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1308 I'm not sure if it works for everybody/every version/every mod, since I used the files from OLC GUI. I've copied the bearing circle image from OLC GUI 3 times and renamed them appropriately (and tweaked the mouse.cfg file aswell) so all drawing aids that draw vectors/lines get the (inverted) bearing circle. Use at your own risk. I haven't got any stock or other supermods than GWX2.1 to test it on. But I think it's generic enough so it might work in all mods. Let me know what your results are if it goes wrong (see image in the link). Installation should be simply extracting it (while maintaining folder structure) into the JSGME "Mods"-folder and then enable it ofcourse. Last edited by Pisces; 10-01-08 at 05:40 AM. Reason: copied 3 times, not 4 |

To fulfill my idea I need one last thing:
I want a chronometer that can be START and STOP from the navmap and not have to jump to periscope for that! This has to be easy! Something has to be added in G30 (navigation map) of menu_ini. Do you know what and in which line maybe?

Nope, people have allready tried to make it start/stop-able in other places than the (attack)scope. I'm afraid it's not possible. Just show the stopwatch. I understand from them (meaning nobody in particular, just what I've seen here in the forum) start/stopping is hardcoded to the scopestation.
I bought myself a handheld digital stopwatch to alow myself to easily time stuff. With the added bennefit that time can keep running while I'm reading and writing the numbers down (you know, the lap button). |
