Default Gwx Insterr-note Pad

After installing GWX 2.1 per instructions, I noticed on my desk top
a note pad icon. What follows is the content.
DEBUG: test 1 passed
test 2 passed version is 1.4.0.1
test 3 passed
test 4 fail size 6760734
test 5 fail size 70298
test 6 seems to have passed if size is 1138405
at least test failed

When I load up thhe game it appears to be
o.k.It states in the upper left corner that it is version 2.1
I did notice one wierd situation where I was tracking a couple
of lighted trawlers off the coast of Ireland.I got within 1000m
surfaced, and not a ship in sight.:hmm: Thanks for any help.

when an AI ship hits its last waypoint in a series of waypoints it automatically deletes itself.

You probably just happened to witness this by pure happenstance.

I'm no GWX install expert but by judging that error log something is probably wrong. I tried to find such a file in my Sh3 game-folder but I can't find it, so have nothing to compare with yours. Maybe a GWX-techy is of better help. How did you install it anyway.

How can you be sure you are within 1000 meters if you can't see a ship?

Default error message

Hello PISCES,

Installed per all instructions, according to the periscope reading
I was 1000m from three lighted trawlers.I guess the lighted trawlers
are new featuer of 2.1.Any way the game seems to run o.k.I
wonder if there is a problem I may miss out on some other
feature.I did notice a different splash screen shot I have never seen
before when the ver 2.1 install starts. When I start the game I get the
howling wolf screen as I did in ver 2.o.

Thanks for the help

So if i understand this correctly you use automatic targeting and the game gives you a range of 1000m to an invisible object? Are you sure it's not just really bad fog?

What you have come across is the result of the installer checking the files for compatibility....the hash test.

During your install of GWX the process checked (IIRC) the size of the Basic.cfg & Campaign files, it found that both were not what it was expecting. Therefore you did not have a clean, unmodded install of SH3 1.4b before adding GWX v2.0 and then v2.1.

The GWX website has the info on the proper install proceedure.

Do not expect your current installation to work correctly.

so reinstall fresh, patch if needed, and install GWX. Then you can put on your mods.
