Default Odd goings on.

I am runing GWX 2.0 and have noticed that hitting the enter key no longer fires torpedoes. Also if you have the deck gun manned then go to one of the flak positions and take over the gun,i cant fire it by the space bar.Is this "normal" or is there a glitch?

Im running GWX2.1 (you should get the patch), the enter key no longer fires torpedoes in this version either (havent played any previous versions). I assumed they changed this to prevent the accidental firings, of which I usually did once per patrol. I think it was a good idea, the enter key was just way too easy to hit by accident in vanilla, thus losing a precious eel. Although one time I actually sank a ship when I "accidentally fired" my torp. At first I was mad, said to myself, "oh man not again, I only have 4 left and I just wasted one", then about two minutes later I heard an explosion... lol, what luck!

Not sure about the flak/deck gun issue, I dont usually slug it out with planes but the spacebar always fires my deck gun.

This is a clear-cut case of RTFM. It's all explained there.

So many people (myself included) complained so much about accidental firings that it was changed to 'Ctrl+Enter'. Or you can, as I do, just click on the on-screen 'Fire' button.

I am afraid you are right.

I have just read the manual and it seems that it has explained the torpedo firing issue.Mea Culpa!

I was another one that constantly hit 'Enter' all the time. I love it as "1x Speed" since it goes well with the + and - keypads for changing time scale.

if you have the deck gun manned and then go to a flak gun to take over it wont do anything unless you also have the flak gun manned.

in short, if your going to man the flak gun yourself, it has to be manned to begin with.

It's a good idea to load your deck gun at the start of each patrol. That way you won't have to waste time loading it when you come across that nice, defenceless, coastal freighter.
