Default Australia v South Africa

Only a few hours to go until the Wallabies come up against the Sprinboks. Should be a good match with both side having plenty to play for. No quater will be asked or given though as the long standing rivalry is continued. The midweek football tie between Aus and SA turned out to be a very even affair but hopefully the Wallabies can make it a bit more one sided this time.

Can Robbie Deans experience in winning in SA break a 7 year drought for the men in gold? Lets hope so.

Go Wallabies.

I agree with you in that this is going to be one heck of a match - simply put, we HAVE to win. Just hope the ref, during the course of the game, does not become a closet team member of either side.

Go Bokke Go!

And the spoils go to the Wallabies 27-15 for their firt win in SA since 2001. Was a tough match with quite a few injuries on both sides. The Wallabies defense in the fist half was awesome and one of their best performances so far this season.

I just hope that the injuries don't impact preparation for the next match too much.

About time we won over there. I was getting sick of all the excuses such as altitude and everything else. This Kiwi coach has done wonders for our Wallabies.

First off - congrats TarJak.

If this is how our present coach views these loses then the Springboks may never ever regain their dominance in world rugby

"there are rumblings in SA Rugby as a result of the team's third successive Tri-Nations defeat, especially after the Springboks were booed at the end of the match in Durban and also while they were getting into their bus. "It's not nice, but one has to live with it," De Villiers said. "The supporters are justly dissatisfied. South Africans are proud people. They want to be winners and support a winning team."
"I have a new style of playing that I want to establish. Rome wasn't built in a day. I ask the public to give us more time to master the things we are trying to do.
"When we throw together all the elements and play according to the style I have in mind, we'll be hard to stop."
Springbok captain Victory Matfield also understands the emotions of the supporters. "We're the Springboks, we're World Cup champions and we've lost two home games in succession.

This guy De Villiers has such a tight contract that to get rid of him will cost around R5million. His performance clause was dropped from 75% down to 50% and then only to be accounted for after 2 years.

Anyhow, may I present the new Springbok jersey to all rugby lovers so you may recognise us when next we take to the park to implement the new way of playing rugby according to our esteemed coach.
