just what did ships get flags for.? How small do you count?
Merchant /meatballs: small tankers? tugboats? sanpans? lifeboats? small transports? fishing boats? warships /rising suns: minesweepers? med gunboats? sm gunboats? sub chasers? I have a tray of flags and string them across the top of my computer desk, but want to know just what counts. thanks

It seems like subs marked ANYTHING they sank or co-sank or damaged on their killflag. Let me explain.
Look over this website: http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/Japa...-Losses-6.html That will show you what JANAC gave official credit for each submarine reported sinking. It's VERY interesting. I've noticed that if you compare those JANAC (often low) figures to the final killflag for many WWII subs, you will see a difference. The Kill Flags Mod people have some great explanations on their website. Look over this thread for info: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=122870
