Playing to day, leaving Pearl Harbor, I was passing by Guam and got a report of a ship. The map screen revealed a blue square. Normally I don't give these much thought as they are Allied ships. but since I was so far away from a friendly base, curiousity got the better of me.

Ghosts do exist.

Lo and behold, there in the TDU, was "The Flying Dutchman."

The TDU had no label for it, in fact, it said "What is This?"

Is this just something put in the game for the fun of it?

Has anybody else ran across this?

I couldn't believe it, I took a screen-shot and called my son in to varify it.

Just wondering.

Yep, it's an easter egg, screenshots and discussion in this thread:

One day I am going to sit down and do a search of how many times the FD has been reported...

I would be interesting to find this out I think. Never-the less it is still fun to read the "Hey...I saw it posts."

BTW-Never saw it myself.
