Geting bored waiting for the Small Freighter to come in the position to be sunk, I was taking range measurements with the stadimeter (which is not what I usually do, since I use a different method for torpedo solution).
I've noticed that the measured distance is almost twice than it really is, while other ships which I measured were OK. Looking at the recognition manual, I've noticed that the Small Freighter's mast height is 39m, which is almost double than the height of the other similar sized ships (20-25m). So, I recon, the mast height must be wrong ![]() Playing GWX 2.1. Last edited by meduza; 08-16-08 at 04:46 PM. |

Thank you.
Unfortunately, it seems that the file is no longer available for download. Any other link? ![]() |

Strange, it worked a couple of weeks ago. No, you'll have to ask someone of the GWX team (Privateer is the head-honcho now) to upload it (NKBL_ mastheight fix) somewhere. But if you know how to make such a fix with JSGME (or simple change the file without JSGME), you can change the mast entry to "Mast=19.3" in the NKBL_.cfg file in /Data/Sea/NKBL_
If that doesn't help I can send it through email, send me a private message with your adress. |

I changed the data to 19.3, but somehow it doesn't feel right. So I've done some testing and trigonometry, and came up with the figure of 21.7, which gives the most accurate distance.
I've made a JSGME ready fix, and if someone is interested, it can be downloaded here. |
