Georgians must have good boots, almost every body is missing them.

What does this say?

What do you mean "What does this say?"?

It doesn't say anything. It's just a bunch of squiggly lines.

Actually, I tried to come up with a translation. I can't make out the last word that well so all I have is "it is small by the buoy of ..."

By the way, I don't know Russian. I tried to decipher the handwriting with a Cyrillic alphabet chart off of Google images and typed what I got into a translator.:p

This means "Won't be enough - we'll add". Sorry, my English is not very good at idioms but that's close to original meaning "Мало будет - добавим". In Russian we need just three words to express that

Any pictures from the ambush where the 58th Army spearhead got hit? Their commanding general was wounded and some journanlists traveling with them.

Georgian or Russian? The reactive armour and commanders "shield" look Russian.

And whats with the burning of dead Georgians, some logic behind that or just nature of war.

The chaps with no boots look like they were on the receiving end of artillery.

As for the rest... well, I can't think of anything that's good about it. All that money, time ingenuity and square-bashing; all of it ends up as so much meat and ash.

Those tanks look utterly destroyed. I've never seen an M1 look that bad, not matter how much explosive they used on it. I guess 1 M1 was designed to take on 5 Soviet tanks since they were designed to fight outnumbered, so maybe its strength has something to do with it.

...and that's why I'm not a tanker.

On a side note, has the M1 truely been tested in combat? The M1 absolutly kicked a$$ in gulf War 1. I think (my memory is rusty) only 14 or so M1s were lost in GW1, and most of those had their tracks blown off from a mine. There was that one M1 tank that took a direct hit from a T-72 (funny story, the M1 parked infront of th T-72 to take a break ) at point blank range the tank commander had a ringing in his ears, but the tank didn't catch fire.- the crew survived.

What I'm asking is: would the M1 fair as well against a real opponent that knows how to fight tanks.:hmm:

The M1 was designed to take a direct hit in the frontal area, though in the war, no M1's were really lost. They were only disabled - hit with the best stuff that could be thrown at them. And then some tank tow truck shows up, tows it off, and the damn tank is back running the next day! Its like indestructable.

One M1 was hammered mutiple times when disabled, but they simply returned fire waiting for a rescue!
