Default Luxury subs?

Hi all was talking with my mother yesterday bless err lol and she was mentioning a thriller novel of hers she was reading where the Russians capture the us president and transport him across the north sea and up north of Norway through the arctic (he was in Britain at the time i am told.) Now they use a luxury submarine to transport him (bizarre eh!), and there is the question i pose is it possible by today's standards to create a submarine with the luxury of more space and "accomodation"

I argued from what little i know about modern subs or subs in general i suppose .
That the equipment needed to have a sub that could go the distance having most space for engines and other essential equipment like air recyclers or whatever would leave the sub ill equipped for a nice little side room with furniture and a heater to sit by and sip tea or coffee or what have you. Maybe it would need to be simpler and sacrifice engine space and submersion time/equipment in order to be submersible but not for long periods and save all that space up for an anteroom and lounge.

Anyway there it is is have fun.
