Default INTERESTING SINKING DATABASE

Hello everyone: I found a website with a complete database on German submarines and ships that sank during World War II. There date, time, name of ship displacement in tons, country of origin and company to which it belongs, and in some cases is recorded to a photo of it. It is reported that the submarine carried out the attack and who was their commander, and a brief account of the action of war. Also recognized position in latitude and longitude, and the corresponding position quadrant used by the Kriegsmarine, which in this forum topic was the lack of a program that converts the coordinates into quadrants. This database contains all the information needed to create missions that represent real events of the war, it can also recreate individual attacks produced in the early years of the war in which the use of convoys was not a majority. The web address is: http://uboat.net/

It's nice when somebody new rediscovers an old and valued source. That's been one of my main references for my 'Ship Names' mod for SH3 Commander since 2008.

Someone new as I discover new things every day, with undisguised enthusiasm. For you who already know these issues well, it is an opportunity to discuss their experiences, which is also very useful in all learning!

Welcome to Subsim, jorgegonzalito. There is something important to be had in the social comradery of discussion here... even when information searches can yield every answer. Do not be discouraged. Just speaking for myself, I enjoy reading your posts, and the enthusiasm you have behind them.

If you liked that, then you may like these ones too,
they are:
uboataces.com
uboatarchive.net
uboat-bases.com
subart.net
submarine-history.com

Some may not be in service or may have been updated beyond recognition, but if they work, then there you go!

Well, thank you very much comrades! It's good to feel welcome in a forum where one is new, and is written in a language that is not normally use. I hope you will not be offended if the English translations are not of the quality they should be. I have enough experience in Train Simulator where I created new routes of Argentina, and Flight Simulator where I have spent programming AI aircraft traffic in the territory of my country. Silent Hunter is a new experience for me, and wanted to learn everything I can to make the game pleases me and not make me "Stress".

BTW, yesterday (July, 20th, 2015) we have 20th anniversary of UBOAT.NET. That's a long time for such a projekt and we all can thank Guðmundur Helgason that he (and his friends too) is still working on this project.

Greetings

Of course not - if you're having as much fun with SH3 as the rest (well, most) of us are, that's all that matters!
