Hi everyone !
I read a post here at SUBSIM a while ago , by Rubini .
A tool that's called for " nHancer " a "musthave"tool for your NVIDIA settings
(look for Rubini's posts)you can adjust your graphics , , stability , short said everything you been asking for

This article/instructions are for the SH3-SH4 settings.
Last month I bought a new craphic card NVIDIA GE FORCE 8600GT 512 mb Ram , and "nHancer" fixed it prompt for me!! After I installed it , SH3 running very smoothly , and the most important thing it's STABILE ,no more "CTDs"
Bare with me all veterans , look the other way

For you guys that don't have it ; DOWLOAD IT

But read the instructions very very carefully , before you use it!!! When you have it installed ; enjoy

Ok , I had problems suddently(after re-install) with the sun halo , " nHancer " fixed it prompt!!
I took a screenshot of the sun & my sub , look for your self :
