How to get the Type XXI?

So I've made it to Mid 1943, and I'm based out of Lorient. I've got about 9000 renown. I want to make sure I get the Type XXI when it's available. What flotilla do I need to be in to get one? How much renown do I need?

With sh3 commander I suppose? If so then 11th flotilla, the one that stays at Bergen. I'm part of it, or rather will be part of it when our 3rd flotilla gets scattered. Don't know how much renown it costs but it should be available somewhere in 1944. Hoping to get one for myself as well, I'm sure I will lack the renown ... if I will make it that far of course.

The 11th flotilla, in Bergen is correct but i think its need about 30000 renow to get this master piece! Im not sure...

Starting a new career in '44 using SHC is the easiest method of getting it, as few Kaleuns will make it that far to buy one for the 20k=30k renown it costs.

My cheat sheet says:

XXI-April 1944-renoun:30000

And it is only available to 3 flotilla's.

7th Flotilla (Bergen) from 1944-1945

11th Flotilla (Bergen) from 1944-1945

33rd Flotilla (Flensburg) from 1944-1945
