My new record from yesterday: 181m
![]() ![]() The boat escaped unharmed with no hull damage. Tough critter this little duck of ours! PS. Using GWX 2.1 and SH3Cmdr w/ crush depths randomized so maybe I just got an exceptionally strong boat this time. |

Hmm...
From 2.0 testing... The IIA would not go down further than 150m anything over and that and it starts to crush. The IID is a different story. STronger hull, I do believe I got a IID down to about 190m before it started to crush.. The beauty of the type II is in fact its size. It doesn't need to go as deep as its larger type 7 and 9 sisters because it presents a smaller return anyway. Getting depthcharged in a type II is a treat! ![]() |

Cheers Penelope, thanks for the tidbits. Yeah, Typ. IID is stronger than its predecessor, but SH3Cmdr's randomized crush depth does keep one on one's toes nevertheless... I was sweating 75mm shells I'm telling ya
![]() The IID is a great wee boat, isn't it? ![]() |

Last IID in the BlackSea GWX 187m and it was snap-crackle-pop-flicker, time.
Good little boat. In fact I took it through the Med, to LaSpezia then through the straights just so I could transferr to the 11th and get a XXI. Once I managed to get past Gibraltar it was a boring trek, can't say I recomend it.
