Deleting membership.

Well, for the first time since having the internet and being a member of various forums, I have just sent my first email requesting my account (with another, infinitely more hostile forum) be deleted permanently along with any contact or personal details/information.

By comparison our beloved Subsim is the most relaxed place indeed.
The difference in general attitude here shared by so many diverse members is something quite special - one may not have expected as such because of the number and scattered background of the forum member base, and the fact it revolves primarily around all things naval/military.

Conversely, the forum in question, being all about shooting sports in the UK, is possibly the most belligerent and aggressively parochial representative that such advocacy for sporting shooting in this country could do without. That the majority of the members are my fellow countrymen makes me ashamed and dispirited. None of them can hold a candle to the community here. Is it any wonder Britain is no-longer preceded by 'Great'?
