Default Question about in game bugs

I am running vanilla SH III 1.4b with U-boat 1.2 and Racerboy's SH IV effects, and I have the following problems:

1. When changing from surface to periscope or vice versa not all of the engine crew switches from diesel to electric or the other way around.

2. In the same scenario as above the Watch Officer does not automatically go to his post in the conning tower.

3. When surfaced and a vessel is spotted the watch crew automatically switches to deck gun and fires, giving my position away. When I select to "hold fire" they stop, but when the next vessel is spotted they revert back to firing.

Is there any way around these problems?

Thanks

1. Normal, move crew the extra crew manually, won't be necessary when crew are more experienced, promoted, skilled and have medals

2. Again the officer must be manually moved to the deck.

3. Never heard of this, make sure you have selected crew on deck/ watch crew from the watch officer icons, also when you are surfaced you can press hold fire you the deck gun options before it is manned, and if it is don't press spacebar when viewing target through Binoculars as this tells gun crew to fire.

Good hunting

#1. Normal for warrant officers who do not have the engineer qualification assigned.

#2. Normal, it is part of the stock game that you have to place him on the tower.

#3. Check that you have not selected engage target as an automatic action.

Default Manning stations

In my experience if I have unrated NCOs in the engine rooms when I dive or surface I must manually move the NCO crewmwn to the proper engine room. This problem has not occurred for lower rank sailors.

Thanks for clearing all this up, numbers 1 and 2 make sense now, and for number 3 I just noticed that it was because of the option to "engage" being on. I guess they were not bugs after all. Once again thanks.
