Default Need Suggestion!

Hello i was heading to grid AM19 when in my way i intercept a message from the Bdu. I was very lucky i was perpendicular when i just spot the convoy and yet it was a big convoy cover with 2 or 3 corvette and 1 destroyer. The ship was mainly about C2, C3 and Tanker and yet i have 2 Fat IV in the Aft Tube, 2 Fat IV in front, 2 T I and 2 T II in front and in the Fore reserve i have 4 or 6 torpedo left. So im asking for help since i dont have much experience agaisnt large convoy with excort . Which ship do i need to take out first ? Since the tanker are very far, i dont think it would be a good idea to launch a T I. And i forgot one thing while i met convoy, there was a bunch of flying jet surrounding the area.

Well, the priority targets have always been the large tankers and merchants in the middle of the convoy. So here is what I would do:

- Hit the lare ships in the middle first
- Right after launching the fish for those, attack the ships closest to you

This way you will hit the ships at roughly the same time (if your torpedoes have the same speed).
I suggest using the FAT's for the closest target because there is a chance normal torpedoes would miss after they start manoeuvring (from the impacts on the middle ships you attack first)

So:

1) Attack middle ships with T-I or T-II, speed set at slow
2) Attack nearest ships right afterwards with FAT's set at slow

It's just a thought, good luck with them!

I wont lol, but there is a problem. i dont have enough torpedo to sink the ships. is there any way to " one shot kill " without using the manual recognition and without waiting the distance between you and the ship is less than 1 km?

Sure dude! You don't need to identify ships before sinking them (although you run the risk of them being neutral), you don't need to be within 1000 meters, and you only need one torpedo per ship. It's really difficult and unlikely, though.

Try to get closer. If the convoy is already almost past you, retreat out of sight and speed to some point in the convoy's path. If you can, get inside the convoy and aim for the big ships.

If you can't get any closer, get the best target solution you can and fire away using pattern runners when possible. You might get lucky. It might also be advisable to let this one go and look for more favorable opportunities.

And there are some 1-shot 1-kill opportunities too.
I'm not sure above the larger vessels, but often, a shot at the stern or bow of the ship will cause it to list forward or backwards so badly, it won't be able to move and will sink in most cases (though it will take long!)
