Noithing new, I have referred to him and what he says two or three times in the past 2 months. Actually, 3 trillion is the calculation he claims to be the conservative calculation - he also gave estimations in the range of 5-5.5 trillion US$. the wider your definition of fincial cuts in the civilian and social and educational and health sector being made in order to shift the wins to the war financing, the higher the bill for the war becomes. So note that those 3 trillion dollars are the conservative calculation. Means:It could actually be even worse.

Darn. $250 billion in 1944 dollars would be a heckuva lot more expensive to buy now in 2008 than they would have been in 1944. If only we had thought of this back then...
