Default [REL] Dock Mod

Small Texture Mod to make docks look a little better.

Old Dock

New Dock

7Zip: http://files.filefront.com/Dock+Mod+.../fileinfo.html

RAR: http://files.filefront.com/Dock+Mod+.../fileinfo.html

Credit/thanks:

Kriller2/Dave Leovampire - Original Concept - I very much liked the new colour scheme for the docks in ROW/PE1 & 2 however I thought that below the waterline of the dock always needed a little work. Therefore I set about to try and make the docks look a little better.

The dock textures in this mod are original work. I liked the basic colour of the dock in ROW / PE1 & 2, but have processed the vanilla game files in my own way. This Mod is not ment to take anything away from the great work done by Kriller2 & Dave.

Special thanks:

Captain Cox, Digital Trucker, Ducimus, jimimadrid, Kriller2, LukeFF, Sober, and Dave "LeoVampire" - For all their excellent mods that make the game so enjoyable.

Issues:
Normally none - this is just a re-texture.

Install:
JSGME Ready - Extract anywhere, copy "Install Dock Mod V1.0" to your MODS folder and activate with JSGME
Manual Install - Extract the archive in a location of your choice and copy normal and low res textures to /Data/textures/TNormal/tex &
/Data/textures/TLowRes/tex
Note: If using manual install method - Please always make a backup of the original game files; so that if you don't like the changes, you can always go back.
History:

V1.0 [REL]

DISCLAIMER:
This mod can be included or used with any other mods or mod packs, Please give credit.
Please feel free to modify or include this mod in anyway.
Enjoy :-)

great look underwater, thanks for this but the old buildings looked better (just the buildings) but only because you made yours look too brand new.

also i would suggest you change the shading on cranes so its more rusty brown and less redish and the casters/wheels look too bright, almost like lights.

if you have the time do you think you could do some work on the sub nets concrete wall look?

Thanks Webster,

I probably should have explained the mod a little better.

Personally I use Pacific Environments, Dave and Kriller2 have already done some really great work on the cranes, buildings etc. The screenies above are of a "vanilla' game so the buildings and such are all stock.

The dock mod only modifies the dock structure (which includes the concrete in the dock area). I like to keep my mods small and to the point.

I normally run the following mods:

All Medals Classic Crew
NSM4 classic
NSM4 Realistic torpedo malfunction
PE2
ROW special effects for NSM4
ROW Sound effects
John Hamm's uniform mod
Recognition manual V3 stock SH4
Sub speed, Battery and Propellor rotation (trainsmash of three great mods)
3000 yard bearing tools
DRB JAP US Airbases
Sdantenne_UpDown
US ships Skin pack
and
SH4 menu maker

I also have a seperate TMO setup and,
a separate RSRD setup.

Pretty much the texture mods I've been doing are just to "fill in the gaps" in various setups I use.

They're just small texture mods and don't change the game that much; and won't change anyone's gameplay at all.

The intent in putting the mods up here is; if anyone wants them they can just "add" them to whatever else they are already using.

i must have been fooled by the angle of the sun or lighting, the pix showing the new dock concrete looks to have different looking crane and buildings.
