I stalked a convoy through the night in rough seas, but clear weather and opted for an attack at dawn. I spent quite a bit of time sneaking into firing position and setting myself up for a lethal strike. just as i was checking through the periscope for target data i noticed muzzle flashes from one of the escorts, large splashes landed all around me. needless to say i abandoned the attack and went deep.
about 80 % of my conning tower breached the surface giving everyone a spectacular beacon with which to home in on my position. i evaded the depth charging attack, and spend another day and a half getting into position again. i came away with only two ships from this convoy before being chased off. as we were all closing in to within a days travel of dangerously shallow water, i decided to abandon any further attack plans and continue the patrol. gotta love a conning tower broach!

I can understand that. On my last patrol in GWX 2.1, I attacked a convoi, which included a battleship I sunk it along with 2 more ships, suddenly a destroyer comes out of nowhere and I dive deep to evade him. He must have seen my conning tower
