Default Remove Savegames

Is it impossible to get rid off old Savegames without deleting the whole career ? ? ?

Background is : I´ve got no need for old savegames in the 40´s while playing 1941.
SHIII with GWX and Cmdr 3.1 always tell me that I´ll loose all further saves if i´ll delete the old ones or all AFTER the one I wish to delete.
I DON´T want to leaf through a huge list of Saves all the time to get my current one.

Am I wrong, or isn´t stock SHIII deleting only all the Saves you made BEFORE the one you wish to delete ?

You can manually delete them outside SHIII.

taking vanilla SH3 as an example:

Go to My Documents\SH3\cfgcareers\kaleun name\

under there you will find a series of folders called 0, 1, 2, 3 etc. Each one for each patrol (starting at 0). The files inside this folder are the save game files. Just delete them. When you restart SHIII, the save game has gone and the others are still there.

if using MultiSH3 the folders will have names other than SH3, they will have names such as GWX, NYGM etc.

obviously 'kaleun name' is you career name.
p.s. make sure your in port first!

Or the extra easy way, give each save game the same name.

Could be risky, if some will be corrupted for some reason

I tend to use the overwrite option once I have an initial 'good' save

I've been using the overwrite option just to keep from having all those saves. I only have one save per patrol, and have never had a problem in this respect.
