Subsim Chat

I noticed on the main subsim.com webpage, there's a link for chat... and it takes you off to Java client for IRC (internet relay chat). But the channel it automagically joins, #WPL, is very empty.

I'd enjoy sitting in IRC on one computer, chatting with my fellow SH3 and SH4 captains... while at sea on my priamry computer. No reason to be completely solitary...

Is there any chance of breathing new life into the chat room? Who's administering it? Would anyone else like to participate?
