Default When does x happen?

As it hasn't happened in a while for me:

1. What are the requirements to get offered a new model boat?
2. Is it possible to get promoted without ending your career?
3. How do I regain efficiency in my people?

1: Depending on your patrol results I have usually been offered comand of a new boat after about 3-5 patrols.

2: Again, depending on your results I am usually promoted from lt. commander to commander after 1-3 patrols.

3: Not sure what you mean, I have not noticed any loss of efficiency from my crew.

1. Selling your soul to the Devil is a starter... new boats are expensive!
2. Yes. By surviving long enough to get promoted.
3. Start by not "splicing the mainbrace" too much with the crew.

Well hey... works for me!

Cheers!

"Splicing the main brace" was usually a round of beer to all hands for a job well done or after surviving an especially savage DC attack... A morale booster.

In older times, it was brandy or grog...
