Ok, enough of this...What's the problem ? Pointers Please
I have seen some brief reports on shaking screens but it sounded more like it was during play. Mine is a different problem. Seems to be related to where the designers placed the boats in the docks to start.
I get vibration, things blowing up, submarine flooding. Just can't start from the docks. Does anyone have a fix for this ??? Everythings fine starting outside the docks.... Regards Jib01 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Back in SH3, there was an issue where if you belonged to a certain flotilla in a Type IX boat, the initial mission start position would have the back end of your boat stuck inside a concrete dock. It was an error in the initial position coordinates, and that's what this sounds like to me.

Quillan,
That is what it is. The boat is mislocated along with a freighter that is in the concrete dock. How do we fix it ?? It's every base from what I can tell. I will try a transfer to see if it is different. Jib01 |

Uboat start points are in the Flotillas UPC
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\UPCDataGE\UPCCampaignData You cannot load the Flotilla file into the mission ed You will need to create a new mission Add 3 IXD2 subs each named after the 3 ports Save in a name you will remember Open your new file in Notepad Copy the co ordinates from Flotillas UPC to the ships in the new mis you created example [Flotilla 1.Base 1] ID= F1Penang NameDisplayable= Penang-Base-Name Info= Penang-Base-Info ExternalBaseName= Penang AvailabilityInterval= 1942-02-29, NULL DepartureDescription1= ( Long )12044738.000000, ( Lat ) 646218.000000, ( Heading ) 270.000000 [Unit 1] Name= Penang Class=SSTypeIXD2 Type=200 Origin=German Side=2 Commander=0 CargoExt=-1 CargoInt=-1 CfgDate=19420426 DeleteOnLastWaypoint=true DockedShip=true GameEntryDate=19420426 GameEntryTime=0 GameExitDate=19451231 GameExitTime=0 EvolveFromEntryDate=false Long=12044738.000000 < Taken from the Flotillas UPC above Lat=646218.000000 < Taken from the Flotillas UPC above Height=0.000000 Heading=270.000000 < Taken from the Flotillas UPC above Do the same for the other 2 bases\ships and save Now you can go back to Mission ed Load your mis file with the 3 ships in Merge - without making savable - and load the Campaign_LOC as I expalined to you previously Now you can see the placement of the uboats in the docks When you have moved the uboats in mission ed save the file Open it again in Notepad and transfer the details back the other way to the Flotillas UPC Does that make sense ? Shout if not clear Hoped there was an easier way but just not seeing one |
