Default Torps not firing

I was patrolling nth of Jawa and I was in some of the roughest seas I have ever seen. periscope wouldnt stay abover water. Jumped on the deck and spent more time under water than above. Anyway, my torpedos would not fire. was it too rough?

Default I doubt it

The torpedoes will fire all the way down to 99 feet. Something else was up. Could you have had the wrong torpedo tube selected for the TDC solution?

Had your tubes taken any damage?

Some waves are so high they'll expose your deck at 80 ft. You might have had this problem of the game being sensitive to that. Are you using any mods? I've discovered mods which lower the sub in the water to mask the wave exposing the keel makes the game do wierd stuff triggered by depth.
1) Sub doesn't get real world cruise or submerged endurance.
2) Errant voice calls having to do with shallow water or thermals.

Another consideration is the crew. Make sure you don't tire them out or they won't do anything.
