How can i change this parameter?

As you know when you select the ship camera view(next/previous unit keyboard keys "." and ",")the camera is fixed to a certain distance from the U-boat/ships,let's say 50-100 meters from it.
I would like to increase that distance so my question is:
What file/s I have to modify to increase that distance and have,of consequence, a more distant intial point of view?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hi Viktor,

open with s3d editor the cameras.dat (located in data/library/) and clic on the node with the name ''Dummy_Cam_ObjectView''.
next ,clic on CameraParams and then increase the AngularAngle value (you will see it in there) to something like 95 for example

bye

Another question about this topic:
How to switch the camera to see less and cons diving boat, ie: get the axis of the camera closer to the water?
Thank you for your answers.

Lower the camera closer to the water
Claude.

Nobody can help me? (Or no one understood my English, because of the translator)
Explain again: I would make a slight rotation of the camera exterior views on boats.
Pivot for less-see above vessels
-Have the sensation of being closer to the water.
It seems to me to intervene, he must go to "Library/Cameras/312: Node-Dummy-Cam-ObjectView"
"Tranlation: x, y, z"
"Rotation: x, y, z"
I tried without success.

i would say that there (at node's coordinates) is the answer to your question but ,as you say , it is not 'working' .
so, that is a good question....let's hope that someone who knows will show up to help you....

edit : in the meantime ....just an idea : try changing the values at FollowParent--->Default---> etc...

I pretty much tried everything, we must say, not scientifically groping: nothing at all.
I can not get my wish!
Then he would go down the row axis x, y, z!!
Or I'm wrong and the data is elsewhere!
Thank you, Makman, have answered me.
Claude.

No you did not try everything.

Do you understand what the Node placement does?
Obviously not.
Before you mess with the extended settings,
drop the Y position of the Node to -2.0 on Node 324 of the GWX Cameras.dat
THEN and only then do you start adjusting the extended settings.

Now can someone send me a stock GWX 3 Cameras.dat?
I whack this one to help you all without a back up.

I'm sorry, Privater I tried handling the Node 324, but no results!
Finally, I would like the horizon view of boats is the same as in Free Cameras.
With my thanks for trying to help me.
Claude.

I'm still working on it so at the moment still some changes are to be made.At the moment what I can say is this.If you want to have the "Free view" also using the next/previous unit view you have to do so.
-Open with S3D the file "Cameras".
-Then open the node 324 (Dummy_Cam_ObjectView)
-Then open the node 332 (Dummy_Cam_ObjectView1)
-Then open the node 334 (SphericalMove)
-Click one time with the left button of the mouse on the node 334(SphericalMove)and in the section on the right(Controller Name) change the default name to FreeMove(default name is SphericalMove)
-save
-Then click one time with the left button of the mouse on the node 335(SphericalMove)
-Once done click one time with the right button of the mouse on it and select "Delete" and delete it
-Then click again one time with the left button of the mouse on node 334
-Now click one time on it with the right button of the mouse and select this path:
Append new chunk/Properties(type:6/0)/SH3/CameraBehaviour/FreeMove
-Now open the new created chunk(should be numbered 335) and set these parameters(set the parent ID exactly as in the image below):

-Once done all save it
-Then select the node 332((Dummy_Cam_ObjectView1) and in the right window in Node Positioning/Translation/Y: set the number 3,5

Save it.If you have done all correctly you have now also the free view when using the next/previous unit keys.

IMPORTANT:BEFORE STARTING WORKING ON THE FILE CAMERAS.DAT MAKE A BACK UP OF IT JUST IN CASE!!!!

Hi Victor_Prien,

very good idea. Just tested it - and you can make wonderful screenshots of ships in motion:

(This is taken from HMS Arethusa - new ship by "the_frog").

Greetings

Victor Prien
Interesting ideas.
I summarize my problem:
-I press on "; " (French keyboard), I view on my first uboat in click again: the sight of the nearest boat.
-What I want: no longer see the top of the boat, but the profile.
-The thing that rotates the entire frame (hence my comparison with FreeCams, or the skyline is lower.)
-You can reach my result by pressing the 9 button keypad. That's what I get, after pressing ";" (French keyboard) without using the key setting "9".
And the impression that the camera is closer to the water.
Thank you for your work, Claude.
Difficult to deal with the translators of the texts in French and English.

I have seen your reply Clouclou but unfortunately for some days, due to real life commitments,I'll be extremely busy so I'll can't answer to you quickly.Sorry.
If for you it's better feel free to send me a PM,indicating what are your problems, writing in French(I speak and I understand it quite well cause I'm not so far away from France).
Soon as I have some free time I'll look for what you are searching.Best regards Viktor

Viktor Prien
