If they found a minefield I doubt they'd be there to tell you about it

The best intel you can get on them is opening the minefield .mis file with the mission editor, though it's almost like cheating because it'll show the precise location of every minefield. The location of the file is something like SH4/Data/Campaigns/CampaignGE/...
