Default Colored Icons on the Nav Map

Hello, peeps!

I recently installed GWX Gold and have noticed all of the icons are grey, with the manual stating it's more of a challenge if one has to study each ship before lighting it up. Given my general lack of mad skillz, is there a way to have red, green, and blue icons in GWX again or would I have to go without it (GWX) to have them again?

Welcome aboard, eB!

The GWX Contact Color mod will do the trick:

Eureka! That was just what I needed. Now I can merrily sail forth and wreak havoc in the sea lanes.

Thank you very much, Frau Kaleun!

To be Honest, I had that same reaction when the auto-identification colors were removed from the map. But now, I enjoy having to identify each contact before deciding what to do. Now it's not jsut point and shoot, you have to wait a while before deciding.

What I need to change to reduce number of contacts shown on map?

Please be advised there are a few of the newer vessels that will still show as a grey colour because this mod is quite old and I have never got round to changing some of the alpha channels on the icons.

If you get within viewable (eyesight) range of such a vessel it will change its colour to what it is ie red, blue or green.

Thank you very much for the headsup, jimbuna. I'll make sure to remain vigilant for the odd grey icon.
