Default Tramp steamers R there just that many of them?

(Fritz von Titz approves this message)

I swear every other ship I waste my gun ammo on is a tramp steamer. Geez you would think after sinking a billion that they would be less bold about scurrying about the nord sea.

I've been researching ships for a project of mine, and you would be surprised: the 2000-ton tramp steamer was one of the largest ships to ply the North Sea. I've found hundreds of coastal vessels in the lists, many of them as small as 300 tons! And until the fall of Dunkirk most of them were involved in cross-Channel convoys.
