Default Boycott Outback Steakhouse

These stereotyping slugheads. This restaurant has nothing to do with Australia other than the fact that it has Outback scenery in the restaurant. You know that anouncer guy is probably some random guy from like Illinois who fakes that incredibly strong Australian accent. Does anybody froim Australia actually talk like this. The same guy probably does commercials for fake Itallian restaurants

*puts on his THICKEST fake Aussie accent*

That's not a steak !!! THIS is a steak !!!!

:rotfl:

Seriously... the Austrailians owe Crockodile Dundee for the way Americans percieve the Aussies.

Interestingly, I was thinking of something along those lines this morning. I had seen a PBS special about the Medicis, in which the narration was handled by a man using a horrendous and phoney Italian accent. I could easily imagine a number of Italian-American groups being justifiably angry.

LOL, I never liked Outback Steakhouse. They know how to ruin a good piece of beef by overseasoning it and often overcooking it from what I asked for. I have never been happy with the food there. If you order the prime rib 60% of it is unedible fat and not worth the price. If you want a good steak you have to go to a Ruth's Chris or Mortons and they don't give speak in stupid accents there.

Do you really want to hear an offensive fake accent? I mean one which will make you want to go back in time and actually strangle someone?

If you have a DVD copy of Tora! Tora! Tora! with all the goodies on it, slip it in and watch the original theatrical trailer. One of the great historical war movies, but that preview will have you running for the bathroom...or slitting your wrists.

Never mind, I found a link

I swear, if I had seen the trailer I might never have watched the movie.

Oh gods thats bad.....Ive never met anyone here with an accent like that , even people from the middle of nowhere - I suppose Aussies should be happy this lot tried to do an Australian accent , most of the time when american advertising people try to do our accent they end up sounding like New Zealanders

It's kinda funny about Steak House chains. You eat at a really good one then, rave about it to a friend and go to a different one and they serve you both a work boot sole.

WHY??? He put back Austrlian U.S. Culture back 20 years! I'm still trying to tell Americans that they shouldn't expect Kangroos to go hopping by them when they get off at the Airport!

Yeah, but you do have to watch out for those roving biker gangs and scavengers who will kill you for your gasoline!

Outback Steakhouse is terrible. I could give a rats arse about the faux Australiana crap, the food though is awful.

It's rare times like that shocking Outback Crudhouse that I'm glad not to be back home in Sydney. What a shocker of an ad. And the food in that ad doesn't look that great. The whole Outback Crudhouse looks the same concept as others before it such as the Black Stump chain. Not even sre if they are still in business back in Sydney, Australia.

I don't know why anyone would go to a place like the Outback Steakhouse? You'd be better off inviting some friends over to your house for a simple bbq. That's what we would do with our Mum's property up at Colo Heights, 2 hrs NW outside of Sydney centre. Invite all our city friends up for a simple barbie and actually see Kangaroos, Wallabies, Kookaburras, Brown snakes and so forth in their natural habitat.
