Default Decks awash & Radar profile?

(SH3/GWX2)

I know that running decks awash at 2kts on a calm sea reduces your visual profile. Does running awash also reduce your radar profile?

Thanks.

Yes.

One of the best bits about SH3.

Be aware tho, you will still stick out like a sore thumb on any radar chard in 1944.

On the topic of visual sightings do the light conditions have any bearing on your chances of being spotted? I'm thinking more specifically about sunset and sunrise. If I'm trying to outflank a convoy nearing sunset I'll generally try to move on their eastern flank (convoy course permitting of course) so as not to be outlined against the light on the horizon. It just feels right but does the game model this kind of thing or would I be as visible within 10 km of the convoy regardless of which flank I was on?
