I remember seeing many years ago, probably the early seventies, a world war 2 movie featuring a u-boat that had to crash dive and in the rush one of the german submariners got trapped between the hatches leading from the conning tower into the sub. The captain ignored the the frantic tappings of the trapped crew member who eventually drowned. Other than that I can't remember much else. Does anyone have a clue to what this film might be called?
Thanks. Nemo

That sounds more like a Twilight Zone episode than any movie I remember.

Do become the U-Boat Commander a prisoner?...and planned to break out? With randevouz of an U-Boat?....Which the british wanted to capture?
If so then I think the movie is called "The McKenzie Break" (1970) or another name (I think if I remember right) under which the movie is known "Escape" But I´m not 100% sure but I know no other film of that kind ![]() |

Thanks for the info. WOD I'll check out the title you mention. Even though it was a long time ago that I saw this film, it wasn't an episode from the Twilight Zone.

Apologies for bringing up this old thread, but I have found out the title of the movie I refer to in my first post. It's "Mystery Submarine" starring Edward Judd made in 1963 in black and white. Not a great sub movie by any stretch of the imagination but the bit with the trapped crew member has stuck with me since a kid.
