Quick system requirement question

Does SH3 run with a ATI Radeon HD series card?

The reason im asking is that my desktop pc totally died a week ago.I was running a Radeon 9800 pro in that system and that casr ran SH3 awesome.Well due to agp slot cards are about a antique already im going to PCIe vid cards.Im picking up my new system tomarrow and the only thing im wondering about is the HD series vid card its coming with(due to funds being a little tight this time of the year).The system else were is plent big enough to go to a bigger vid card in the future which i will do,but for the time being this is all i could squeeze out of the wallet.The exact HD seies card im getting isnt for sure as of this hour due to my pc guys benchmarking one they already have installed on a system.I believe it was a saphire hd 3450,dont quote me on that though.They said if it marked good they would use it but if not they would go up to a HD 3600 series.I made it clear that i didnt want a slump card.It didnt have to be the best out there but i wanted something that would compare to my 9800 pro at least.

So,i was just wondering if anyone was running a HD series card and how they where working out?

Well I'm running on an Nvidia GeForce 8800 chip, which is more or less the Nvidia equivalent to the series the card you stated is. It runs SH3 great on my PC, I haven't noticed any graphical anomalies, although there have been a lot of reports on issues from other 8800 users, so I don't know

Memory: Corsair XMS Platinum Series 2GB PC3200
Video Card: eVGA Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI-E
PSU: 700W Antec
HDD: Seagate 80GB SATA 3.0
ODD: 2 CD/DVD Burners

If I may give you some advice... avoid the HD3450 and 36xx series like the plague, they are slow as hell.
The HD3450 has a meager 40 stream processors, 4 texturing units and a really, really slow 64 bit memory bus.
Compare this to the HD3850 which has 320 stream processors, 16 texturing units and a 256 bit memory bus.... plus it runs at a higher clockspeed.

The absolute best value ATi card is the HD3850.
Heaps more performance and still at a very good price. Here in Autralia they go for around $250 AUD retail. In the US they cost around $180 US... In Europe they can be found for around 170 EUROs (Germany) But regardless of were you live the HD 3850 should offer the best price/performance ratio...
Oh and please make sure you get the 512MB version.
