Is this band popular in Germany?

"Die Prinzen" were popular during the 1990s and had some hits in the charts as I recall. Nowadays the have disappeared as far as I can tell. Listening to the videos that were posted here I have to admit that their music is more appealing to me than it was back then when they were in the charts.
According to Wikipedia they are still on tour and even have released albums constantly during the past few years.

Kraftwerk, I never met somebody who compared them with the Beatles and I could not name a single song of them. Not really the kind of music I listen to, so...
(For me it's one of those bands that are/were more popular abroad - especially in the US - than in Germany.).

Kraftwerk was high-profile in the 80s in germany. thtey are still active - but today, most people in germany may remember them from the 80s ("Wir sind die Roboter"), but people are surrprised if telling them that they still exist in the present. they seem to be better known outside germany now. their last world tournee was 2004 and 2005, and was highly successful and completely sold out (more than 100 concerts). Their last tour so far was a small one in Europe 2006, as far as i know.

I've got the Collectors Edition of their latest 'Notebook' Album, including a DVD of their 2004 tour. Some great stuff on there. I'm rather partial to 'Vitamin' and 'Autobahn'

Suppose Kraftwerk is a generation thing.
I never got into their music because I'm simply too young.
But they're definitely still around.
German language music definitely bounced back recently. During the 1990s it was basically dead, at least in mainstream, now charts are almost 50% german language.
But that does not automatically means quality. Today I listened to a german mainstream chart show on the radio and I nearly threw up.
