Default Lets post those 'What The Hell?!?' moments!

We've all been there, you cruise along nicely in your Uboot annex yacht, and you stumble upon something you'd never expect.

I was on my third patrol in my brand new IXc in fewbruari '41, when I encountered a Japanese small freighter just of the coast of Spain (cg42). WTH?!? Secret japanese supplies for the Germans?

Whats your WTH? moment?

I was in New Orleans, LA on a weekend beer and booby bender.

Anyhow there was a couple of ladies in lacey outfits out in the street greeting guys asking them to come into the club and spend their dollar bills.

for the life of me i couldnt figure out what was "odd" about this particular chick standing there in her little nitey so i struck up a conversation while we were in line to get in.

Suddenly as we neared the door, a friend of mine ahead of me in line shouted

"WHAT THE HELL!? LETS GET THE @&^$ OUT OF HERE!!! RUN!!!"

come to find out what was so "odd" about "Lola" and her friends is that they were all men impersonating women, (quite well i might add), we spent the next 3 hours in a good all female house of ill repute to make up for the error of our ways.

and thats my "what the hell moment"

oh wait

you meant Silent Hunter III "what the hell moment" didnt you?

But what would you have done if your mate hadn't cried 'Alarm'?

Reminds me of that TV show 'Theres something about Miriam' a couple of years back. Turns out the lady was a dude but a fine looking one at that. Showed the picture to my impressionable young assistant at work and asked him if he would bring her out for a drink or two. He was very interested. I then revealed her original gender and he was adamant that he had no I attraction what so ever. Ignorance of the law is a defence

To come to the topic:

I was in The Channel....when suddely (i think it was summer 1940) my WO shouted: Ship spottet. then:....we are taking damage...i felt as if a had a heart attack...I went to the bridge and saw a DD 30 meters in front of me....crashdive....and I even Got out (bad sensors and very bad weather 15m/s and heavy fog)

was just leaving port a St.Nazaire bad weather... only made it half out to the grid BF17 when suddenly my boat got hit... went to the bridge.
Was right in the middle of a convoy with three Libertys firing at us and two DDs already heading for us..
Went to the Repair scree (F7) to make my lazy men do their job but didn't even get there... "Boat lost"

Then I was there "WTH?" :rotfl:

But you know, that last line is fun, simply because it can be taken two different ways...
