LWAMI 3.08:modelling of sonar operations

Hello all captains,

I have installed Crazy Ivan's Seawolf campaign from Sub Command on my DW LWAMI 3.08.

Started playing it just after playing the campaign in SC SCXIIC and noticed a great deal of difference at once.

I might be wrong, but it seems to me that sonar sensors (TB-29 towed array) are far more sensitive in SC SCXIIC than in DW LWAMI 3.08.I mean in SCXIIC you can actually assign trackers and track even the weakest contacts quite easily,in DW LWAMI 3.08 you must press the "Tracker assign" button numerous times in order to pick such contacts out.

So,sonar suites of the same SSN-21 Seawolf are rather different in both simulations.

So,actually, which simulation offers more realistic sonar modelling-SC SCXIIC or DW LWAMI 3.08?

Thank you for your answers.

With best regards,
Stan.

LWAMI doesn't "model sonar operations." It is a database and doctrine mod; all it does is set the NL curves of sources and the sensitivity of sonars. Interface issues, like tracker assignments, are firmly in the realm of SCS, not the modders.
