Hey CapZap.

If you're not successful with your search, send me a PM with your E-Mail and I can send you some drawings. They are around six to nine MB in size.

Cheers

Kai

Okay then. What is the best site to do that? I have never done that.
But FileFront or whatever it is called always causes some anger!

Cap, I have the engineer's general schematics for several U-boat types in both GIF and PDF formats.

They're very large, 7000x3000 resolution, or 21 megapixels if you prefer digital camera terms.

The PDFs are black drawings on white paper while the GIFs are the opposite.

These images are of the original Langsschnitt blueprints.

I downloaded these a couple of years ago where they have been languishing on a 2-DVD set I made filled to capacity with SH3 stuff.

If you want them, just let me know and I'll put them up and provide you with a download link.

Okay, here they are.
I am not the creator of these files, although the blueprints come with some books, for example the excellent pair 'Geschichte des deutschen U-Bootbaus' by Eberhard Rössler.

Anyways, you can find them here now:

http://hosted.filefront.com/KaiWipfler/

Except for the Type II you should find all of them.

Enjoy!

There is a serie called "Vom Original zum Modell" that covers all U-boattypes and from some types there are even scematics in A1 size from the same publishers. I don't know if they are still in print or even available but I have several of them and they are great, lot of interieur pics, technical info and of course scematics. There is a book of the type II too. The only possible drawback might be that they are only published in German.

Go to:

Then click on "Wissen", and then "Bootspläne".

Kaleuns:
Thank you all for your fine cooperation.
With the help of TomcatMVd, Mush Martin, Captain Strangelove, Graf Paper and Subnuts I gathered lots of info.
That should do the trick
