Torpedo Loadout Problem/Bug
HELP!
I've got a weird problem: before leaving port for my 4th patrol I loaded up my VIIB full of electrics, but when I hit Start I found myself in a boat with 2 electric eels and the rest were all gas. I immediately reloaded the in-port save game, loaded my ship with electrics again, hit Start again, and once again found myself listening to the band at willy with a bunch of gas torps. I've never had this happen before. I use GWX2 and SH3 Commander 2.7 with the following options ticked: Historically Accurate U-boat Availability Dates Randomize Number of Days Spent in Base Realistic Crew Transfers Any suggestions? ![]()

when you reload torps always reload ALL torps.
go to the emblem page and come back to the torps page again. check torp loadout. sometimes, MOVING torpedoes from one slot to the other does not work, especially with the external stored ones. I have had it happen to me before. check and double check, you should do fine. ![]()

That doesn't seem to be the problem. It seems that when you choose your torp loadout in one year (eg Dec 39) then hit Start and begin your patrol X days later in the next year (Jan 40) your loadout gets overwritten with the default loadout for the new year.
![]() Mikhayl's fix worked so I'm sorted now but thanks anyway ![]() ![]()

Another fix I found was to use Tweakie's [sp] torp mod and just reset the default loadout for all years to the one I wanted to use...saves me a whole lot of time and trouble.
The other thing I did was to make sure that my Torp loadout was the last thing I did before going to sea...as if I did not, it seemed to change for some wierd reason... |

Once I had this problem too.
I exited the game while near port by doing a complete shutdown on my computer. The next time I loaded the game and did my torpedo loadout to my specifications, I started the patrol with the default torpedo loadout. I had to finish the patrol with what I was given. But after that I had no problems with the torpedo loadout. |
